Studio Photography Course - Ice dropped in water

I have recently started a photography course at Forth Valley college. The course is an introduction to studio photography. One of the take home tasks was to take a picture of an ice cube dropped into a glass of water. This was to get used to the exposure triangle where we modify shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. To capture the splash clearly a fast shutter speed is required. This means there is not a lot of light able to enter the camera's sensor. In the picture I took I had the aperture as wide open as the lens (28mm Macro EF-M) allows with ISO set high enough to make the sensor sensitive enough to light without introducing too much noise.
